Kiwis stun Sri Lanka despite Dilshan scare

a Twenty20 international here on Wednesday. The tourists, restricted

Mithun retains RCGC’s golf title
Mithun Perera, the son of the famed Sri Lankan
golfer, Nandasena Perera, who in his own right, is carving a name
for himself by more than emulating his father, by being a leading
golfer with much promise. Evidence of this has been observed by his
winning a good many golf championships through the years and, true
to form as expected, Mithun did extremely well in the recently
concluded RCGC’s 88th championship by being its champion golfer for
the second consecutive years.

Dilshan, Dhoni in running for three ICC awards
India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sri
Lanka's Tillakaratne Dilshan have been nominated for three
International Cricket Council (ICC) awards each, it was announced
here on Wednesday. Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhoni and batsman Dilshan
are in the running for the prestigious ICC Cricketer of the Year and
Test Player of the Year awards. The Indian also figures in the
One-Day Player of the Year category.
