Seylan beat Nations Trust

Seylan Bank beat Nations Trust Bank 59 points to 43 in the Marcantile 'C' Division Semi-final match played at Otters Sports Club Basketball courts.

Seylan Bank was in the lead at half time 22 points to 15. Wiraj Nandana was the top scorer for the winning team with 20 points. Dharshana Bandara (13), Anton De Silva (10) were the other contributors for winners while Andre Fernando (10) Rone Roshan (9) S. Rajeebdeen (8) were main scores for losers. SriLankan Airlines defeated Avant Garde S.S 92 points to 88.

In a 'B' Division semi-final at same venue.

Avant Garde S.S was in the lead at half time 49 points to 36. D. Wijesingha scored (23), Sampath Kirige (21) and Jene De Silva (18) made valuable contribution for the winning team.

Dilshan Barathee was the top scorer for (23) Avant Garde S.S while Sudesh Nonis (18), Shihan Dool (13) and Nilanga Wickramaratne (13) scored points losers.
