Sampath Bank beat Akbar Brothers by 62 points to 61 in the Mercantile
'A' Division League Basketball match played at Otters Sports Club
Basketball Courts. Sampath Bank was in the lead at half time by 36
points to 31.
Mithila Abeysekera was the top scorer for the winning team with 20
points while Thisara Chathuranga obtained 12 points and Anushka
Wishwanath 10.
Manoj Perera collected 19 points for Akbar Brothers, Jeevan
Priyankara (17) and Sanketha Jayaratne (15) made valuable contribution
for Akbar Brothers team.
Softlogic Group defeated Saylan Bank by 70 points to 59 in the
Mercantile 'C' Division League Basketball game played at same venue.
Softlogic Group was in the lead at half time by 28 points to 23.
Yohan Danushka was the highest scorer for the Softlogic team with 37
points, Manaram Bandara got 14 and Roshan Ranatunga 10.
Gayan Samaraweera scored 18 points while Malaka Wickrama obtained 17
points for Seylan Bank.
