Sri Lanka Customs in easy win

The 30 overs cricket match between Sri Lanka Customs and Pakistan Customs Veterans Teams played on Friday at Pallekele, Prison grounds, resulted in a comfortable win for Sri Lanka Customs.

Pakistan team won the toss and elected to bat first. They were soon in trouble with accurate bowling by Mahendra Arthanayake and Upali Ratnayake and finally bowled out for 115 in 19 overs. The Captain of Sri Lanka Customs Team Neville Goonewardena and Upali Ratnayake then opened the batting and reached the target in just 16 overs without losing a wicket.

Pakistan Customs 115 (M. Salimullah 31, Waseem Feroze 28, Mahendra Arthanayake 3 for 21, Udaya Yapa 3 for 19, Sagara Mahanama 3 for 24, Ajith Athukorala 2 for 8) Sri Lanka Customs: 116 for no loss (Neville Goonewardena 33 not out, Upali Ratnayake 75 not out).
