Hot spring proximity to Dimbulagala temple

A hot spring in a corner of the Nelumveva rural reservoir off Dimbulagala of the Mahaweli B zone on the Plonnaruwa - Mahiyanganaya road via Dehiaththakandiya remains as an attraction for those who are visiting the historic Dimbulagala cave temple.

The hot spring is usually submerged by the waters of the Nelumveva reservoir during October rains.

In the dry season when the water subsides, the hot spring comes into view.

The North Central Provincial Tourism Ministry of and tourism authorities should lend their attention to this natural resource, for it has the potential to become a tourist attraction.
