Two decomposed bodies identified

The two decomposed male bodies found in a deserted jungle in Siyambalappe junction on Sunday were identified by their relatives last evening. The deceased are identified as Kurukula Sooriyage Suranjith Fernando (25) a father of one, who is a three wheel driver from Rock House Lane, Modera and Mahathelge Ajith Kumara (35), a father of two who is a fish vendor from Kadhirana Watta, Mattakuliya.

Police said the two had been abducted by an unidentified armed gang in a three wheeler.

This is a result of a retaliatory attack in a fight between two underworld gangs, Biyagama Police Crime OIC A. G. Y. S. Keerthisinghe said.

The post mortem is to be held at the Ragama hospital today.
