jewellery exporter
Focus on niche markets vital
Sri Lanka needs to focus on niche markets by
exporting fine quality stones as mass marketing is a challenge to
the country. The country has established itself as a country
exporting exquisite fine quality gems and jewellery and it is
important to capitalize on this, Acting Deputy Director General
National Gem and Jewellery Authority Ajith Perera said.

“Sri Lanka is emerging as one of the top two
countries in South Asia promoting the use and development of IT. One
of the reasons for the development of computer use and IT was that
the Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) has actively encouraged this
sector and also the GOSL has named the year 2009 the year of ICT”,
