Chandimal Mabulage an outstanding athlete

Chandimal Mabulage was adjudged the Most Outstanding Athlete of the Sir John Tarbet Junior Athletic Championships which was held at Albert F. Pieris grounds, Wennappuwa.

He has clinched the first place in the discus throw event clearing 32.23 metres at Sir John Tarbet Junior Athletic Championship and he was placed seventh in the javelin throw event cleared 39.43 metres.

Chandimal Mabulage was placed third in the discus throw event at the Western Province Schools Athletic Meet.

Chandimal Mabulage started athletics at the age of five. He is an all-round athlete running, jumping and throwing he was a member of the runner-up team in the Sir John Tarbet Junior Athletic Meet in 2006. Chandimal Mabulage said that his next target is to win a gold medal in the national and international level athletic events.
