Angulana tense after shoot-out

Residents of Angulana launched a protest yesterday against Angulana police following the death of two youths who were said to have been arrested by Angulana Police. The two youths, Dinesh Tharanga and Danushka Udayakantha Aponsu aged 26 and 21 were shot dead on Wednesday night.

Navy assists TN fishermen

Relatives of missing Indian fishermen whose bodies were found by the Sri Lanka Navy last month arrived in Sri Lanka to identify the bodies of their relatives on August 8. They left on August 10 with the ashes of their kith and kin after cremating their bodies in keeping with their traditions.
