Ziebinski was impressed to note that Leo Burnett has been Sri Lanka's
first agency to win awards at recognised awards festivals such as Adfest,
Spikes and Cannes Lions. He noted that the communication business is not
about creativity but about creativity which delivers results and
achieves the objectives of the communications campaign. He quoted the
founder Leo Burnett who said "Our real purpose in life is that of
improving the sales effectiveness and reputation of our clients through
ideas." In this context he complimented the Sri Lanka office for having
received five accolades at the Media AME Awards where creativity which
achieves results is recognised. He said that Leo Burnett Sri Lanka is
the only Leo Burnett office in the region to have received five such
awards.
"I am delighted that Leo Burnett has been Sri Lanka's most awarded
agency for the last five years and in 2009 it topped the tally at The
Chillies. Such a performance is only possible if the agency worked in
partnership with its clients" Ziebinski said. "Therefore", he said "I
value the outstanding portfolio of clients on the Burnett roster in Sri
Lanka as well as the strength of their partnerships. Leo Burnett Sri
Lanka has also had the good fortune of being led by a personality like
Ranil de Silva - a true professional in the industry". He said that the
agency is blessed to have a team of dedicated professionals with
exceptional talent. "It is this most important asset which enables us to
meet with success in each and every market" he said.
Chairman Leo Burnett South Asia Arvind Sharma accompanied Ziebinski
on his visit to Sri Lanka. Reflecting on Leo Burnett's 10 years of
operation in the country Sharma commended the local office stating "I
have been closely associated with the local office since its birth 10
years ago. I am indeed honoured to be associated with an agency of this
stature. The presence LBSI has achieved locally as well as globally is
commendable given that it has only been 10 short years. I am confident
of the agency's continued success in the decades to come."
Commenting on the visit of the region's newly appointed President,
Ranil de Silva, Managing Director of Leo Burnet Solutions Inc, said that
he was delighted that Ziebinski visited Sri Lanka soon after assuming
responsibilities for the region. "I am sure the new Sri Lanka, post our
recent success in the war promises an optimistic future for the country.
We need to be well poised to fuel the country and its economy to make
the best of the opportunities that arise from the positive outlook for
the country's future. This visit of two of the region's leaders is yet
another indication of the region's support and endorsement of our
efforts of raising the bar with our work," he said. |
