SELA to meet with Russia, China, India
VENEZUELA: The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA)
will meet next week with Russia, China and India to assess the current
state of economic relations of the region with those countries, a
communique said on Monday.
These meetings, to be held in Caracas on July 20-22, are expected to
contribute to the discussion and exchange of information and experiences
between the members of SELA about the prospects of their economic
relations with these nations.
They are also expected to explore and design initiatives to
strengthen SELA’s commercial and financial relations with China, India
and Russia.
Representatives of all members of SELA, the Latin American
Integration Association, the Economic Committee for Latin America and
the Caribbean and the Andean Community and the Bolivarian Alliance for
the Peoples of Our America, the CARICOM, the Southern Common Market, the
Central American Integration System and the Union of South American
Nations have been invited to the meetings.
