Thurstan enter second round

Unbeaten Thurstan College Under 15 'A' and 'B' teams qualified for the second round. Thurstan 'A' beat - St.Josephs' Colombo, Prsident's, Maharagama, Lumbini and Weluwana and their encounters with Carey and Sri Jayawardenapura ended in no decisions.

Thurstan 'B' beat - Nalanda 'B' and Christ King, Dharmapala - Pannipitiya 'B', Ananda Kottawa and Prince of Wales 'B'.

The match between under 15 cricket team of Thurstan College and Sri Jayawardenapura College ended in a draw at CMC grounds recently.

Thurstan College 174 for 4 in 27 overs (Ramidu Kumarasinghe 72 n.o, Manuka Jayasekara 25, Kavindra Tennakoon 21, Avishka Kulasekara 19, Kavinda Wimalasiri 15, Shan Wijerathna 10 n.o.).

Sri Jayawardenapura College 48 for 3 in 17 overs (Nimesh Charuka 15, Rajitha Perera 2 for 19).
