Shammi to make a comeback

Former CCC cricketer and national squash player Shammi Silva is likely to contest for the presidency of the Gymkhana Club at its annual general meeting on July 31.

Earlier, he was the president of the club for three years from 2006 to 2008 before stepping down last year and was succeeded as President by Ranjan Kanagasabei.

He has decided to make a comeback at the request of several members. The Gymkhana Club consists of Colombo Cricket Club, CH and FC and Queen’s Club.
