Fast bowler Nuwan Kulasekera said that Sri Lanka will be looking to
set Pakistan a target of over three hundred runs in their second innings
when the third day of the opening Test match between the two teams
resumes at the Galle International Stadium today.
Sri Lanka are currently trailing by 50 runs on the first innings
after Pakistan went on to make 342 from 94 overs with Kulasekera
returning career best figures of four wickets for 71 runs from 24 overs.
Kulasekera said that his success was due to some real hard work in
the last few months where he had worked on the inswinger along with the
coaching staff of Sri Lanka Cricket. In fact he stated that all four
wickets were claimed with good deliveries and is pleased to be among the
wickets in the Test scene. -
Kulasekera said that this effort was one of his best performances in
the five day game and is looking forward to a repeat performance in the
second innings. However he believes that Sri Lanka will need to bat well
in their second innings after wiping off the deficit as early as
possible. |
