Public help sought to nab Lankan's killer

Detectives of the Metropolitan Police of London released the e-fit image of a man they believe is the killer of Sri Lankan Michelle Samaraweera, 35.

The man is also believed to have raped two other women in the area. Because the serial rapist is liable to strike again, Police appeal for public help which will lead to his arrest.

Samaraweera was found strangled and raped in a small children's park in Walthamstow, in May.

The DNA from the attack on Samaraweera led the criminal to be attached to two other sexual attacks on women.

All attacks were committed at the end of a month in the Waltham Forest area.

Police have also conducted a house to house search visiting 9,000 homes in the area collecting DNA samples of men.

The suspect has been described as a man with dark skin, and is aged between 30 and 45.
