British Council summer school

The British Council Colombo summer school is designed for children between 8-12, with different classes for different age groups. Beginning August 2009, sessions run daily for two weeks at the Royal College Union Building.

At the end of the summer school, the children will sit the internationally recognised Cambridge Young Learner Examination and Certificate.

By building on the child's school curriculum, summer school sessions will improve their communication skills and also give them a head start for the school year ahead.

All sessions are conducted by British Council teachers, who are experts in English language teaching and create enjoyable and motivating lessons. By using interactive DVDs to help children review and practice their English skills, an entertaining learning environment is created.

At the end of the summer school, the child will take part in an end-of-term play with their new friends.
