Army help civilians in Pudumatalan

A famous line in the Bible says, “Man doth not live on bread only.”

Translated into our own situation here in Sri Lanka, and particularly to the last days of the war when thousands of civilians were pouring into Government areas, we can say that just as critical as was food and water to these civilians, so must have been the smiles and the bits of conversation with which they were greeted: the human touch, as it were. And this was exactly what the soldiers of the army provided. Here soldiers commiserating with civilians as the latter waited to be taken to welfare camps
