CIC Agri Business will expand its business in the Northern Province.
“We have already initiated projects in the Eastern Province. We
welcome all investors who wish to cultivate land in the Northern and
Eastern Provinces”, an official of CIC Agri Business told Daily News
Business.
CIC Agri Business provides consultancy services for any person or
enterprise.
Depending on their needs our company is willing to cater to the
customer’s needs. If a person already has a plot of land in those areas,
our research and development team will check on the soil and weather

Even if people have difficulties in locating a land in these areas,
CIC Agri Business will provide them the best service to enhance their
production and productivity.
“The rich soil in the Northern Province is much better to grow fruits
and vegetables, especially paddy, bananas, pineapples, maize and
palmyrah except potatoes. Projects will carry on the industry related to
livestock production, processing and marketing of livestock products and
issue high producing breeding materials to farmers in the surrounding
areas as livestock could be carried out in the provinces without
difficulty”, he said.
The planting material requirement of the country increases every year
and the lack of quality material for planting purposes is considered one
of the greatest impediments to develop the agriculture industry in Sri
Lanka.
CIC Agri Business has introduced the latest farming technologies to
Sri Lanka to facilitate investors who wish to cultivate land in the
Northern Province to contribute to the expansion of the economy and
prosper in agriculture.
CIC Agri Business offers novel species of seeds to farmers.
All agriculture inputs and management practices recommended by the
company are tested at the Research and Development unit before they are
passed on to customers.
In addition, many collaborative research programs with universities
and international seed companies are undertaken to further improve the
productivity of farms.
