Eliminating terrorism: SLMC pleased

Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) leader Rauff Hakeem yesterday in Parliament expressed his Party's pleasure over the victory of eliminating terrorism achieved by the heroic Armed Forces under the command of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the Commanders of three Forces. He said the success achieved by winning the war is remarkable and unparalleled.

He further said that the Muslims feel great joy on wiping out errorism since they had undergone great hardships for nearly three decades.

Responding to the Opposition's request to remove the Emergency regulations, he said certain regulations should be kept even after the war for a short period.
