Government May Day rally in Bandarawela
This year's May Day Rally organised by the
Government will be held at Bandarawela. This is in keeping with the
government policy of taking the administration centred round Colombo
to the villages said Transport Minister and May Day Committee
Chairman Dullas Alahapperuma.

CaFFE files petition on polling cards
The campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE)
yesterday filed a petition in the Colombo Appeal Court seeking a
Court order preventing voters who have received more than one poll
card due to dual or multiple registration in voter’s lists from
casting their votes at the forthcoming Western Provincial Council
Elections more than once.
