JVP MPs protest in Parliament

Pandemonium erupted in Parliament yesterday due to a protest conducted by the JVP MPs against the delay in arresting the culprits of the killing of JVP activist Nandana Balage at Kalagedihena on April 6.

The JVP MPs carrying posters, black banners and the pictures of Balage, staged a protest inside the chamber and marched towards the Speaker demanding justice but were stopped by the Sergeant-at-Arms. Later the JVP MPs shouted slogans accusing the Government for the delay in arresting the culprits. (UK and IR)
