Education Minister Susil Premajayantha while condemning the attack on the Principal of Royal College, Polonnaruwa by unidentified persons who stormed the principal’s official quarters on Sunday night has given necessary instructions to the Polonnaruwa police to arrest the suspects involved in the incident.

Minister Prejayantha has also instructed Zonal Education officials to assist the police in their investigations.

“At a time when principals and teachers should earn the respect from responsible citizens in the country, it is our duty to provide them with a healthy atmosphere which ensures them a sound mental balance,” Minister Susil Premajayantha has stated in a press release issued by the Ministry of Education.
