Dialog Box Office on wheels



The mobile Dialog bus service

Dialog Broadband Networks launched the Dialog Box Office Buzz, a special mobile promotion for Dialog’s integrated business communication solution - Box Office. This promotion aims to educate and empower individuals and business with the benefits of low cost state-of-the-art communication solutions.

A team of experts from Dialog will be visiting in a bus in all parts of the country during the promotional period, enabling the public to get first-hand experience with this communication solution.

Box Office integrates Voice/Fax, Broadband Internet/Data, Email and PBX services; and is geared to serve the Small and Medium Enterprises in need of simple yet futuristic communications solutions. It is a four-in-one offer, which is expected to bring down the existing telephone bill by up to 40%. Box Office is delivered using state-of-the-art WiMAX technology.

The convergence of communication channels will also result in further cost reductions in terms of a single rental for all four services and free troubleshooting and maintenance.

Dialog has over 200 WiMAX base stations island wide, covering all major towns and cities. In addition 24 hour technical assistance is provided through a dedicated service team, for all Box Office users.

With Box Office, businesses will be able to enjoy a higher level of flexibility and convenience as all communication services will be provided by the same service provider.


EPSI launches ASUS Eee Box

EPSI COMPUTERS, authorized distributor in Sri Lanka for ASUS launched the world’s greenest, quietest and the most cost effective desktop PC. The ASUS Eee Box consumes 90 per cent less power than normal desktop PCs and is one of the quietest desktop PC with only 26 decibels sound emission. This product is targeted at the Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) Home Users segments and the educational sector.

Speaking at the launch, Group Product Manager, EPSI, Sankha Jayaratne, said “With the ever increasing concern over global warming and the looming threat to the environment, ASUS has taken multiple initiatives in manufacturing green, eco-friendly products.

These initiatives are part of our social and environmental responsibilities as well as part of ASUS’ strategic goal to tap the potential that ‘Green Industry’ has in future. “ASUS’s substantial investments in the R&D for green technology ensures a continuous roll out of products manufactured from environment-friendly materials, consuming much less power and conforming to stringent RoHS and WEEE standards,” he said.
