Moratu Vidyalaya in stunning win

Moratu Vidyalaya pulled off a sensational two wicket victory over Sri
Sumangala College, Panadura in their inter-school limited overs match
played at De Soysa Stadium yesterday.
Sumangalians batting first were all out for 237 runs in their
allotted fifty overs with Buddhika Perera (66) and Vimukthi Kaushal (48)
associating in a 69 runs partnership for the fifth wicket. Vidyalian
vice captain Chatura Hemakumara had a fine spell of bowling to bag 5 for
26.
Vidyalians in their turn started disastrously but Chatura Hemakumara
(54) and Ishan Nilaksha brought the score to a good position.
Then at one stage they were reeling at 150 for 8 and Anuruddha
Kalhara joined Asanka Silva and saw them through with a fine ninth
wicket unbroken partnership of 90 runs. Asanka Silva was not out on 55
while Anuruddha Kalhara was unbeaten on 33 runs.
