Bolt to run in Paris
Triple Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt has agreed to run in the
Golden League track meet in Paris this summer for his first competitive
appearance in France.
The Jamaican sprinter will run in either the 100 or 200 meters at the
July 17 meet, organizers said Thursday. Bolt set world records in both
events at the Beijing Olympics and was part of the Jamaican team that
broke the world mark in the 4x100 relay.
In addition to Bolt, several members of the Jamaican relay teams are
expected to run at the Paris meet, which is the fourth of the six Golden
League events this year.
British organizers announced Wednesday that Bolt will compete in a
150-meter street race in Manchester on May 17.
Bolt is preparing for the world championships in Berlin in August.
