Freshers clash in 6th annual battle

Wayamba Royal vs Sir John Kotalawala MV:

The sixth Annual Cricket encounter between Sir John Kotalawala Vidyalaya and Wayamba Royal College Kurunegala will be played at the Welagedara Stadium, Kurunegala today and tomorrow.

The play will commence at 10th a.m. on both days. The two day big match will be followed by the second annual limited overs game which will be played on Sunday at the same venue.

Last five encounters ended in draws, while the limited overs match which started last year was won by Wayamba Royal College.

Both schools are laden freshers but have proved their capabilities through their inter schools matches played this season.

Both schools have already played six matches each so far and Sir John's recorded four outright wins while Wayamba Royal won only a single. Nalin Withanage leads the Sir John Kothalawala team while Kasun Gayan leads the Royal Side.
