Chaaya Citadel Kandy was built in the former Dunuvila Walauwa where
one of the former Kandyan kings minister and his family resided.
Legend has it that the king on his frequent boat rides on the river
would break journey and enjoy a swim and the hospitality of his minister
at Dunuwila Walauwa.

It is very good for small scale meetings and this hotel is popular among
