Seminar on EPF and ETF

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) will conduct a Seminar on "Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' Trust Fund (ETF) on March 24 from 2 pm to 5 pm at NCCSL Auditorium, Colombo 10.

Commissioner General of Department of Labour W.J.L.U. Wijayaweera, Commissioner of Labour, EPF, Department of Labour, S.A.N. Saranatissa, Deputy General Manager (Member Services) Employees' Trust Fund Board, Wasantha Dissanayake, Assistant General Manager (Member Services) Employees' Trust Fund Board, S.D.K. Dharmasena, Chairman, Dankotuwa Porcelain Ltd., Sunil Wijesinha, Deputy General Manager, Enforcement and Regional Development - Employees' Trust Fund Board, J.M.S.D. Udugama will be the Resource Persons for this seminar.

They will discuss in detail, introduction to the EPF Act and its amendments and regulations framed under the Act, introduction to the ETF Act, its amendments and regulations, introduction of the unique number capturing finger prints electronically, types of employees covered by EPF and ETF, types of earnings covered by EPF and ETF, procedure with regard to contributions, rates of contribution and penalties for delayed remittances.

They will also make presentations of difference in withdrawal procedure of EPF and ETF for beneficiaries and other benefits such as Housing Loan Scheme, Death Insurance Scheme, and intra ocular lens implant scheme. Registration will be on "First come first served basis". Registration will be closed on March 23.
