Pasindu and Chalini win two mile sea swim

The annual Two Mile Sea Swim 2009 organised by Dharmasoka College
Sports Club, Ambalangoda was held during the weekend at Ambalangoda sea
stretch. 306 Men's and 48 women's competitors representing numerous
Schools, Sports Clubs and the Sri Lanka Army took part in the event.
Pasindu Thamalksha of Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda emerged
champion of the men's event taking 41. minutes and 26 seconds, Roshan
Peiris who represented Sri Lanka Army finished second taking 43 minutes
21 seconds and Ashen Fernando of St. Joseph's College, Maradana ended up
third taking 43 Minutes and 31 seconds.
Chalini Dharshini emerged champion in the women's competition with a
time of 49 minutes and 01 seconds, Kavisha Thariduni ended up second in
a time of 50 Minutes and 15 seconds and Muthukumari Bandara finished
third taking 51 minutes and 13 Seconds.
Mahesen Vidanage (8 Years) from Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda
was the youngest swimmer who took part in the two mile sea swim.
