Muralitharan to join SLFP
The tug-of-war between the Eastern Province Chief
Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan and the UPFA Parliamentarian
Vinyagamoorthy Muralitharan seems to be intensifying. with majority
of TMVPers in the line to take SLFP membership, Vinyagamoorthy
Muralitharan, MP said that their main intention was to strengthen
the hands of President Mahinda Rajapaksa who can solve the national
problem soon.

Polls victory shows Govt policies endorsed
State Revenue Minister and Finance Deputy
Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya told Parliament that it is very
clear that the people have endorsed the Mahinda Chinthana policies
judging by the results of the provincial council election and the 80
per cent votes received by the UPFA specially in the Anamaduwa
division.
