Dilruwan Perera and Jeewan Mendis captured four wickets each to give the defending champions Sampath Bank a convincing 71 run victory over Fingara in their MCA Premier League cricket tournament match played at Maitland Place yesterday.

Sampath Bank: 222 (H. Fernando 73, T. Kandamby 26, J. Mendis 28, N. Perera 31, A. Ganegama 5 for 55, U. Chandana 2 for 35)

Fingara: 151 in 39.5 overs (M. Gajanayake 56, I. de Saram 27, D. Perera 4 for 27, J. Mendis 4 for 32).

Opener Sajith Fernando and all rounder Thisara Perera scored half centuries to guide East West Marketing to a thrilling three wicket victory over John Keells in their MCA Premier League cricket tournament match worked off at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium yesterday.
