Church condemns Tiger attack

The Christian Reformed Church of Sri Lanka yesterday condemned the suicide attack by the LTTE on the Internally Displaced Persons, resulting in the death of innocent civilians and unarmed Army personnel registering them.

It also condemned the LTTE’s shooting and killing of IDPs being taken to Government controlled areas, which included a nun assisting the sick and the wounded.

“It has always been our stand that the LTTE must give up their terrorist activities and negotiate their grievances in a more human atmosphere with the Government, instead of resorting to bringing death and destruction to innocent civilians...,” the Christian Reformed Church said in a statement.
