Airtel to cover entire country soon

The fifth mobile operator, Airtel which commenced operations last month has invested over US $ 100 million for their operations so far. The company would invest a further US $ 100 million within the next three years.

Government revenue increased to Rs. 586.9 billion (Jan-Nov) 2008 compared to Rs. 489.7 billion in the corresponding period in 2007. Expenditure and lending minus repayment increased in the same year to Rs. 891.6 billion from Rs. 748.1 billion compared to 2007.
