Airtel, RIM launch BlackBerry
Bharti Airtel Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, one of

research In motion, a global leader in wireless innovation, launched the
BlackBerry solution for enterprise and individual customers with the
BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve smartphones.
The BlackBerry solution brings together smartphones, software and
services to provide customers with easy wireless access to email, phone,
calendar, web and multimedia applications, as well as thousands of other
mobile business and lifestyle applications.
Airtel customers in Sri Lanka will now be able to enjoy the freedom

The introduction of BlackBerry Bold marks the beginning of a new era
in business mobility in Sri Lanka.

high-speed networks around the world, providing superior functionality
and performance for business professionals and power users.

Airtel will offer BlackBerry Enterprise Server for corporate
customers and organisations that manage their own email servers.
BlackBerry Internet Service, which is designed for smaller businesses
and individuals, will also be offered by Airtel.
Kingfisher selects JKCS
John Keells Computer Services (JKCS) - Sri Lanka’s only specialist
aviation software company - was recently selected by Kingfisher Airlines
to provide it with a new passenger services solution.
Kingfisher Airlines ranks as one of India’s largest privately owned
airlines. It is also one of only six airlines in the world to have a
“5-Star” rating from Skytrax along with Asiana Airlines, Malaysia
Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific Airways.
The JKCS solution will serve many of Kingfisher Airlines’ stakeholder
touch points. A single seamless administrative engine will facilitate
the airline’s Internet based passenger service operations.
The solution offers the right combination of technological efficiency
