Athletic Technical officials exam on March 7

The examination to recruit Athletic Technical Officals has been postponed to March 7, 2009 owing to numerous requests by the District Associations and other affiliates of the Athletic association to conduct seminars prior to the examination according to P. H. D. Waidyatilaka, President Athletic Technical Officials Association and Chairman Technical Committee of the Athletic Association.

Technical Officials seminars will be held as follows. January 3 and 4: Sri Lanka Army-Panagoda, January 10 and 11: Trincomalee, January 17 and 18: Vavuniya, January 17 and 18: Anuradhapura, January 24 and 25: Kurunegala, January 31 and February 1: Galle, February 7 and 8: Kandy, February 14 and 15: Ampara. Final seminar will be held in Colombo on February 21st and 22.

Those over 18 years of age are eligible to apply for the examination.

Application forms can be obtained from the Athletic Association Headquarters at 33, Torrington Avenue, Colombo 07 or from Lal Chandrakumara, General Secretary, Technical Officals' Association (Tel. 0718866503).

The closing date for applications also has been extended to January 31 2009.
