that unlike the decentralised Jihadist movement, the LTTE is a
centralised, hierarchical organisation commanded and controlled by
its founding leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran, and that “the Tamil
Tigers generate an estimated US$ 200 to 300 million per year” and
that “the profit margin of its operating budget would likely be the
envy of any multinational corporation”.

fleeing Tamil Tigers to seek sanctuary among Canadian Tamil
expatriates:
As the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam poses an
indirect security risk for Canada the Canadian government must guard
against fleeing Tiger leaders seeking sanctuary among the country’s
large Ontario based community of expatriate Tamils said in a
strongly worded editorial in the National Post.
