Kilinochchi liberation, great victory - V. Muralitharan

TMVP leader Vinayagamoorthi Muralitharan yesterday said in Parliament that people living in the East as well as in Jaffna have totally ignored LTTE leader Prabhakaran.

The Security Forces have been able to liberate Kilinochchi and it is a great victory. The A9 road is due to be opened fully. Accordingly, the people living in Jaffna will benefit greatly. Civilians who were chased into jungles have come back to their original habitats and enjoy their freedom now.

A number of Tamil youth were recruited to the LTTE during the CFA. But with the commencement of the humanitarian mission by the Government, youth in the East heaved a sigh of relief, he said.
