Fowzie calls for halt to Palestine bombings

Petroleum and Petroleum Resources Development Minister A. H. M. Fowzie called for immediate halting of the bombardment of innocent civilians in Palestine.

He called "In the name of humanity, please stop this massacre of innocent civilians and children".

"On behalf of the civilised society of the world, I vehemently condemn the Israeli action which has been taken with the shutting down of the main power plant and hospitals being forced into darkness. As the result, over a million of civilians are facing an alarming humanitarian situation."

"The massive bombing has caused the death of about 500 people and over 2,000 injured."

"The Israeli Government should respect world opinion and immediately halt the bombing and remove the blocking of fuel supplies through the pipeline," the Minister said.
