Danduwam Mudalali from the South who reportedly duped the innocent on deposits made in his unregistered finance company disappeared from his house a few days ago.

Reports revealed that depositors who stormed his house in his absence had allegedly removed valuable door and window frames in anger. Prior to his disappearance, 'Danduwam' Mudalali had given the house in care of one of his relatives.

However, the house is now reported to be in a state sans tiles and roofing sheets.

The gate constructed at a huge cost too had been removed. Depositors believe that Danduwam Mudalali has jumped to India with his family by boat.

But, the angry depositors are regular visitors at his home to search for him.

Tangalle Police have recorded the disappearance of Danduwam Mudalali. No complaint had been made to the Police about the valuables missing from his house, ASP Tangalle L.A. Gunaratne said.
