Minister assures no delay in O/L results

Education Minister Susil Premajayantha told Parliament that there would be no delay in the release of the O/L results owing to the issue of a new O/L Maths paper.

The Minister made this observation in response to a question by JVP MP Nawaratne Banda.

The Minister also stated that the paper marking was to be concluded on January 30 but now it would be concluded on January 31.

The paper marking is already in progress and after the exam for the fresh Maths paper is held the teachers would start to correct them.

The Examinations Department will take measures to hold the Maths paper on January 24, for the second time after the public questioned the standard of the Maths paper.
