Death anniversary

The ninth death anniversary of Assistant Superintendent of Police Bandula Dharmapriya Bandara Abeykoon an old boy of St. Sylvester's College Kandy will be commemorated with a blessing and special pooja at the Dalada Maligawa in Kandy on December 18 and 19.

Abeykoon who sacrificed his life at the Town Hall bomb blast on December 19th, 1999 was an outstanding sportsman having represented his school in athletics, boxing and cadets. He joined the Sri Lanka Police in 1991 and was a reputed sportsman on the field.
