Sri Lanka Army SC put up a stunning performance to beat the more fancied Moors SC by two runs on the Duckworth and Lewis scoring method in their SLC Premier limited overs cricket tournament Tier A match played at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

Moors SC: 170 in 46.4 overs (N. Mazahir 47, H. Fernando 39, S. Perera 21, D. Lokuhettige 27, S. Prasanna 3 for 17, R. Palliyaguruge 3 for 26).

Army SC: 136 for 7 in 28 overs (N. Kaluarachchi 61, C. Prasad 32, H. Fernando 2 for 26, S. Weerasinghe 2 for 13, D. Lokuhettige 2 for 28)

Ashan helps Tamils

Former Sri Lanka under 19 captain Ashan Priyanjan hit an unbeaten 46 to help Tamil Union beat Baduraliya CC by 18 runs on the Duckworth and Lewis scoring method in their SLC Premier limited overs cricket tournament Tier A match played at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium yesterday.
