Book distribution at ANCL

Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited distributed stationery to its employees' children for the fifth consecutive year at Lake House yesterday.

Addressing the book distribute function, General Manager of the ANCL Abhaya Amaradasa said that even though the company faced with many financial difficulties the ANCL Chairman and the board decided to distribute books to its employees' children this year too.

Referring to the world economic crisis he said it was a time where global economy was in a state of near collapse. "Many companies are bankrupt and retrenchment of employees take place as a result of global economic crisis. Considering this situation and many other financial obstacles, the ANCL generously granted books to its employees children", he added.

Director, Operations Upul Disanayake also spoke.
