Vacuum in Tamil representation - Minister Kotalawala

Education Services Minister Nirmala Kotalawala speaking at a meeting held at Bulathsinhala Auditorium recently said there had been a vacuum in Tamil representation in Parliament and Provincial Councils from the Kalutara District.

Hence Tamil masses in the district should take more interest in electing members to represent the Tamil community in future elections.

He was speaking at a meeting held to distribute saving account books by the State Mortgage and Investment Bank to 1,000 Tamil students selected from 34 Tamil schools in Kalutara District.
