ASI low

The Benchmark ASI closed down 3.32 points at 1,524 (-0.22%) on Tuesday while the MPI which tracks the most liquid stock closed at 1,685 points, down 2.72 (-0.16%). Total turnover was 152 Million Rupees.

Large cap conglomerates John Keells (JKH) and Distilleries (DIST) accounted for almost 88% of the day's turnover. JKH contributed Rs. 91 Million to turnover.

The share closed at Rs. 57.75 down 50 cents on a volume of 1.5 million shares. DIST gained 75 cents for Tuesday and ended the day at Rs. 52.50 on a volume of 808,200 shares.
