Dialog suits private bus staff in WP
Dialog Telekom PLC entered into an agreement with the Lanka Private
Bus Owners Association to provide uniforms for staff manning its member
fleet in the Western Province.
The year-long sponsorship will cover 6,800 private buses in the
Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara districts.
The agreement together with uniformed bus staff would come into force
from January, and the buses would carry Dialog branding as part of a
sponsorship benefit.
Dialog Telekom's Group Chief Marketing Officer, Nushad Perera,
remarked that the sponsorship aptly demonstrated the Dialog brand's
reach in enriching customer experience.
"Like any other Dialog initiative, our association with the Lanka
Private Bus Owners' Association is not merely to facilitate; it's also
to add value to the sector, plus, enhance the passenger experience.
Together we would embark on a number of initiatives that would change
the face of private bus transport in the country - another new future is
about to dawn," he said. To add to the passenger experience, Dialog
hopes to offer mobile-based services such as eZ reload facility inside
the buses.
Plans are also afoot to introduce a programme to recognise and reward
the safest and most service-oriented drivers and conductors within the
network.
Dialog will also work with the Lanka Private Bus Owners' Association
to identify and explore children's education and community development
activity amongst bus staffer's families. |
