Swimming postponed

The Interim Committee of Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU) has decided to postpone National Swimming and Diving Championships along with the National Waterpolo Championships and Synchronised Swimming Competition scheduled for today, October 29 to November 1 at the Sugathadasa Stadium pool. The new dates will be from November 27 to 30.

SLASU were to also hold the championships at junior level as well in all four aquatic events on the same dates. According N.K. Abeysinghe, Chairman, Interim Committee of SLASU the event has been postponed due to the bad weather conditions effecting the Sugathadasa Stadium pool facility.

The new schedule for this meet will be as follows: Swimming and Diving November 28 to 30, Waterpolo, Women's Final on November 28 and Men's Final on November 29.

The dates and venue of the synchronised swimming events and Waterpolo Preliminary matches will be notified to the respective participating schools and clubs in due course. The SLASU regrets the change of dates and the inconvenience caused.
