Bronze for Elpitiya handicraft artist

G. Indika Udayanga, a handicraft artist from Elpitiya registered with the National Crafts Council has done the country proud by winning a bronze medal for his creations at the Second World Delphic Competition in Sareto, Russia.

Artists from 61 countries participated in this competition involving art, sculpture and handicrafts organised by the Russian Delphic Council in collaboration with UNESCO.

Udayanga represented Sri Lanka in the wood carving and sculpture category.
