Central Eco-Engineering invests Rs. 200 m on new factory

Central Eco Engineering has set up an electrical and electronical
component device and instrument plant at Kottawa investing Rs 200
million recently.
The company will manufacture electrical switchgears, light fittings
and panel boards initially for the local market, its Managing Director
Chaminda Rajapakse told the Daily News Business.
All products are manufactured to international standards with the
intention of venturing into the export market in the future. Since the
company could only cater to the local market it had obtained many
inquiries from Australia.
Rajapaksa started with Central Electricals, initiated by his father,
and is a highly successful business. The two businesses employ around
100. Central Electrical has withstood the test of time amidst fast
changing technology. The number of years the business has been in
operation, diversification and its success are proven credentials of
managerial capability.
Central Echo Engineering and Central Electricals Lanka are engaged in
aluminum powder coating, import, wholesale and retail sales of
electrical parts and components. |
