Turnover tax rates revised

Turnover Tax rate imposed by Western Province has been revised with effect from July 1 as per Extraordinary Gazette notification No. 1553/19 published on June 11 and revised Turnover tax rate for the following items is five per cent for the following items.

Gems, Selling Timber, whether sawn or in the form of Logs, Precious or semi precious stones, furniture made out of wood, Gold, Jewellery and Costume jewellery, Arrack, Beer, Wine, Toddy and other varieties, Cigarettes, All types of Motor Vehicles, Motor bicycles, Three Wheelers, Tractors, Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene, furnace oil.
